Job Title:  Product Specialist – Bilingual

Location:  Delano, CA location

Reports to:  Store Supervisor

Hourly Position, Starting Salary: $15.00/hr

Schedule: Hours may vary and include Saturdays; Open to the public from 630a-400p Mon-Fri and Saturdays 700a-1200p

SUMMARY:  Receives (by telephone, fax, in person or email)  and processes requests for quotations, sales orders from customers. Process transactions utilizing a POS system.  Makes quotations on items, writes orders, and relays pertinent order information to customers. Coordinates with other departments in handling purchase orders and providing service to customers.


  • Make and receive sales phone calls
  • Answer questions regarding product features and options
  • Prepares and  presents sales quotations
  • Receives requests through various means for price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations directly from customers, manufacturers, and distributors.
  • Achieves and maintains rapport with customers and works to give them the best possible service.
  • Handle counter walk-in sales and pick-ups and process transactions in a POS system
  • Operates various equipment to provide excellent customer service
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as required.

High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years experience and/or knowledge in the Agricultural Supply/Vineyard/Trellis Industry in a capacity that would provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.  Experience with POS systems as well as SAP or similar ERP system desirable.


Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write  correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.   Fluent Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.  Excellent math skills for cash handling.  Excellent customer service skills.


Must have and maintain and valid California Driver’s license insurable by Company’s standards

Job Title: Inventory Supervisor

Department:  Inventory/Receiving

Reports to:  Operations Manager

Shift: Day


Assists in planning, organizing, and monitoring the receiving, storage, and distribution of all items received either from suppliers or production shops ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements


  • Maintain a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the Warehouse and Receiving mission in an effective and efficient manner
  • Interview and recommend applicants for hire as Warehouse and Receiving Associates
  • Track fulfillment metrics and drive process improvements
  • Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of Warehouse and Receiving Associates
  • Implement new or improved supply chain processes
  • Ensures employees ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations
  • Counsels, records, and disciplines as necessary
  • Coordinate the unloading and pick up of material incoming via rail
  • Maintains an equipment structure and level to accomplish the Warehouse and Receiving mission in a safe, effective manner
  • Provides appropriate equipment and racking to ensure the safe transport and storage of all materials

  • Oversees the supplying of materials to various Departments
  • Ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures
  • Oversees the rotation of inventories within the warehouse
  • Maintains department budget, makes cost effective decisions
  • Monitors and measures Receiving and Warehouse performance for accuracy of locator, receiving reporting, movement and storage of material, and transfers

  • Proficient in business office software (Microsoft Office) and ERP systems, preferably SAP

  • B.S. or B.A. Degree in Business Management, Industrial Management or related field and at least one (1) year Supervisory/Lead Experience; or Five (5) years experience in Warehousing, Receiving, Inventory Control, or Materials Management in a manufacturing and or distribution environment with at least one (1) year Supervisory/Lead experience.


  • Valid California Class C Drivers’ license with acceptable driving record
  • Current Forklift Certification and the ability to be forklift certified under Jim’s Supply Company Inc. standards. xxxxx
